The engines were paired to an ancient but complex 4 speed auto. They were impressive in that they could, under certain conditions, they could run on full on EV mode at low speeds. The name Tahoe refers to the rugged and scenic area surrounding Lake Tahoe in the western United States. The name Yukon refers to the Yukon territory of northern Canada.
